The WORKHORSE® line of firearms were designed from the ground up to be a tool that anyone can count on and delivers performance on demand without worry, hence the name WORKHORSE®. We knew before we even produced a single unit that this gun would have to live up to the name WORKHORSE® in every way possible. So we set out to create a gun that was beyond reliable, rugged, lightweight, accurate, and intuitive in its operation. The WORKHORSE® line features so many of the individual components that set us apart from the rest of the market right out of the box. We wanted to leave “MIL-SPEC” in the past with this gun and create a new baseline standard that proves innovation and out-of-the-box thinking can create something that would not only make us proud to produce but also that our customers would love for the rest of their life.

The WORKHORSE® line of firearms are built on our premium forged receiver set. We cut no corners here with the foundation of the gun. These receivers are not only to exact MIL-SPEC in the areas you would expect but as stated before we wanted to leave MIL-SPEC in the past with a new baseline standard. This can be seen in the subtle details we added to the lower receiver. Features like a threaded bolt catch screw instead of a roll-pin to increase the ease of installation, a threaded takedown pin detent and spring groove to add the option to capture the spring and detent in the rear which guarantees that if the buffer system ever came apart that you would retain these crucial parts, the addition of an upper/lower tension screw to make sure that the optimal fit is had between the upper and lower, and short-throw markings for the selector ensuring that it is always clear whether you are on safe or fire. On the upper receiver, we “notch” cut the 1913 Picatinny rail to reduce unneeded weight and give a clean look throughout the gun. Every single WORKHORSE® is built upon this foundation.

WORKHORSE® Rifle and Pistol: The WORKHORSE® Rifle and Pistol are the entry model into this series of firearms. These firearms are not only at an extremely attractive price point, but it boasts the features you would expect out of Battle Arms Development, Inc.® firearms.
